Alma Ledford, age 82, of Jackson, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Westbury Medical Care Home. She was born on March 6, 1931 in Shellman, GA to the late John Henry Bryant and the late Dora Lee Beam Bryant. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ledford, and a son, Fred Ledford, Jr.

Alma is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Buck and Teresa Ledford and Clifford and Brenda Ledford; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Starrett, Jo Ann Woodruff, Betty and Ervin Franklin, Dorothy and Billy Yarborough; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Alma Ledford will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will be at Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
