Mrs. Andrea McLain Helms, age 80, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

Andrea was born on Tuesday, February 17, 1942, in Griffin, Georgia to the late Andrew Felton McLain and the late Ruth Harrison McLain.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Helms; brother, Mitchell McLain; and sister, Kay Nichols. Andrea served in the United States Air Force. She enjoyed shopping on QVC and spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Benji.

Andrea is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Renee Rawlins, Michelle and Shane Bishop; Denise Taylor; grandchildren, Daniel Rawlins, Justin Rawlins, Samantha Dobbs, Kassie Bishop, Shayna Sanders, Jeremy Bishop, Destiny Taylor, and Cameron Taylor; 7 great-grandchildren and one on the way; brothers, Steve McBride, Mark McBride; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service for Mrs. Andrea Helms will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Jackson City Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
