Mrs. Anne Grant Barnes, age 68, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

Anne was born on Saturday, March 22, 1958, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Lewis Chappell Grant and the late Anne Lora Jones Grant. She was a member of Stark Methodist Church and was a very proud employee of the Butts County Sheriff’s Office, working as a court bailiff. Anne was an avid NASCAR fan and spent many years working in the hospitality suites at various racetracks. She loved going to the beach and some of her hobbies were antiquing, baking cakes, and yard work with gardening and flowers on the very property she grew up on. Most of all, Anne loved God, family, friends, her community, and especially her grandchildren.

Anne is survived by her husband of 18 years, Rusty Barnes; children and spouses, Michelle and Carlos Duffey, Brian and Ashe Biles, Jennifer and Jamie Powers, Allison and Chris Davis; grandchildren, Madison Williams, Mackenzie Williams, Hailey Simmons, Hexum Biles, Gwyneth Biles, Cooper Davis, Finley Davis, Cameron Powers; great-grandchild, Anya Simmons; brother and sister-in-law, Jackie and Vicki Grant; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A funeral service for Mrs. Anne Barnes will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Stark Methodist Church with Reverend Carlos Duffey, Mr. Rudy Mangham, and Reverend Bob Wooten officiating. Please feel free to wear her favorite color purple, in her honor. Friends may visit the family from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the funeral home.
