Mrs. Annie Lee Bentley Blackmon, age 81, of The Rock passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at her residence. A native of Cullman County, Alabama, Mrs. Blackmon moved to Georgia at the age of 16. Daughter of the late Mr. George Richard Bentley and the late Mrs. Nellie Teal Bentley, she was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Kerry Grant Blackmon. Mrs. Blackmon was Retired after 43 years as a Seamstress from The William Carter Company. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Upson County.

Survivors include: Her husband - James Blackmon of The Rock, GA ; 1 Son - James R. "Jimmy" Blackmon (& Sonja) of Thomaston ; Daughter in law - Theresa Blackmon of Warner Robins ; 1 Sister - Easter Mae Diffy of Bessemer, AL ; 5 Grandchildren ; 12 Great Grandchildren ; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Annie Lee Bentley Blackmon will be conducted from the Graveside on Saturday morning at 11 O' Clock in the Salem Cemetery in Upson County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening (3-20) from 6pm until 8pm.
