Mrs. Audrey Ann Maddox James, of Jackson, GA, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Sacred Journey Hospice in McDonough. She was born March 18, 1930 in Jackson, GA to Elgin and Lois Edge Maddox. Audrey was a member of Second Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, reading, her grandchildren, and spending time with her family and friends. Audrey is survived by 2 daughters and son-in-law, Sheila Williams, of Jackson, Peggy and Chip Greene, of Jackson; 4 grandchildren, Terry and Stacy Knight, Dave and Michelle Williams, Tracy Naulta, Matt and Miranda Williams; 11 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Joan Maddox; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Lamar James, and sister, Annie Lois Wise. Funeral services for Audrey James will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Chapel of Sherrell Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Pritchett officiating. Interment will be at Pepperton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Monday evening.
