Austin James Vaughn, age 18, of Flovilla, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 at The Medical Center of Central Georgia from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on Wednesday, December 6, 1995 to the late James Lee "Jimmy" Vaughn and Melinda Kidd Vaughn. Austin was a 2014 graduate of Jackson High School and was employed by R & B Metal Structures and McDonalds. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson.

Austin is survived by his mother, Melinda Vaughn, of Flovilla; sister, Desireé Vaughn, of Kansas City; brother and sister-in-law, Jeremy and Christy Eastwood, of Jackson; nieces and nephews, Ariel, Katelyn, Sebastian, and Little Jimmy; and grandmother, Elizabeth Vaughn, of Orlando.

Memorial services for Austin Vaughn will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Jackson with Reverend Keith Joseph officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall at the church following the service.
