Mr. Barry Joseph Melly, age 78, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023.

Barry was born on Sunday, May 14, 1944, in Paterson, New Jersey, to the late William P. Melly and to the late Beatrice E. Stanisfeld. In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his brothers, Mark Melly, Thomas Melly, William Melly, Jr.  and a sister, Barbara Straka.  Barry proudly retired from the United States Army after many years of service. He loved computers as well as drones.

Barry is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Delores Carlisle Melly; children and their spouses, Hope & Mark Griggs, Alvin & Marie Carlisle, Robert & Kim Melly; 8 grandchildren; as well as one sister, Faith Abbott.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Barry Joseph Melly will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Andersonville National Cemetery.
