Mrs. Rebecca Lee Hortman, age 79, of Locust Grove, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Westbury Medical Care Home.

Becky was born on Friday, May 22, 1942, in Stone Mountain, Georgia to the late Washington Lee Ayers and Georgie Mary Cannon Ayers. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Hortman, son, Chris Hortman, and sisters Gaynelle Cook and Brenda Sanders.

Becky was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. She was also a great friend to those around her. She was a member of Towaliga Baptist Church and loved Jesus. Becky used cards to minister to people, along with teaching Sunday School. While at the nursing home, she loved to make people feel special, and would create a birthday song just for them. She always tried to find a way to make people happy.

Becky is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kay Hortman; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mrs. Becky Hortman will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Towaliga Baptist Church with Reverend Jay Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Towaliga Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
