Mr. Bernard Vaughn McBroom, Sr., age 85, of Barnesville passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 at his residence. Mr. McBroom was a lifelong resident of Lamar County. He was the son of the late Mr. William Taylor McBroom and the late Mrs. Viola Chambers McBroom, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Virginia Anne Lovvorn McBroom. Mr. McBroom was a Retired Accountant, having been the Owner/Operator of Mac's Accounting and Tax Service here in Barnesville.

Survivors include a Daughter – Donna Anne (& Ronald) Ellis of Griffin ; 2 Sons – Bernard V. (& Patsy) McBroom, Jr. of Barnesville ; Hillery T. (& Bonita) McBroom of Barnesville ; 2 Brothers – William Ralph (& Ethel) McBroom of Fayetteville ; William Taylor (& Jean) McBroom, II of Barnesville ; 12 Grandchildren ; 13 Great Grandchildren ; & Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11 O' Clock from the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Franklin Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends here at Williams Funeral Home on Sunday evening, October 9, 2011 from 4 pm until 6 pm.
