Mrs. Bessie Mae Johnson Jenkins, age 95, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Westbury Medical Care Home.

Mrs. Jenkins was born September 20, 1917 in Cork, Georgia to the late John Riley Johnson and the late Lillie Velia Plymale Johnson. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Edward "Ed" Jenkins. She was a homemaker and retired from Pepperton Cotton Mill. Mrs. Jenkins was raised Primitive Baptist.

Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, John and Thelma Wise of Jackson, Danny Ross of Locust Grove; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Mae Jenkins will be conducted on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sandy Creek Cemetery in Flovilla. Mr. Rudy Mangham will officiate.
