Mrs. Betty Jean Howard Moats, age 84, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

Betty was born Friday, April 26, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late David Richard Howard and the late Ruth Brittain Hubbard Howard. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Tilton Moats, Jr.; sons, James Moats and Johnny Moats; brothers, Jack Head, Robert Head, and Bill Head. She was a very active member of Stark United Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed gardening, loved music, and loved being at the lake.

Betty is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and DeeDee Moats, Jerry and Ginger Moats; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mrs. Betty Moats will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Stark Methodist Church with Reverend Bob Wooten officiating. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
