Ogilvie-Adamson

Mrs. Betty Jean Ogilvie-Adamson, age 84, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, peacefully at Monroe County Hospital.
Betty was born on Tuesday, March 16, 1937, to the late George J. McDaniel and Ethel Mae Drake. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 53 years; Rudolph Ogilvie, son; Kelley Ogilvie, sons-in-law; Glenn Greenway, Charlie Banks, and David Rose. Betty worked at the William Carter Company and Wisebram's before becoming a full-time homemaker. She loved to sew and was known by many to be a great seamstress. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed traveling and playing a competitive game, especially Rummikub, with family.
Betty loved her family and her hobbies but most of all, she loved the Lord. She loved her church family and attended church every time the doors were open through the years. Her passion for the word of God, prayer, and worship were unwavering.
Betty is survived by her husband, Grady Adamson, children; Patti O. Greenway, Paula O. Rose, and Karla O. Banks, step-children; Bill (Debbie) Adamson, Tim (Alecia) Adamson, Cindy (Joe) Kinsler, Joe (Cindy) Adamson, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sister; Marjorie Andrews. A host of extended family and friends also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Ogilvie-Adamson will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams-Westbury Funeral Home with Reverend Darrell Corbin officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted, or the family suggests donations be made to True Vision Pentecostal Church at 2619 Highway 41 South, Forsyth, GA, 31029.
