Brenda Joyce Taylor, age 60, of Flovilla, GA passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at her residence. She was born June 30, 1952 in Newborn, NC to the late Houston Grissett and the late Edna Mae Kelly Grissett. She was a Charter member of Gospel Light Baptist Church, church treasurer, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and was the event coordinator. She enjoyed Church, gardening, cooking, community involvement and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Brenda is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Kelley Moore, Buffey Reed & Charles Varner; son and daughter-in-law, Bryant Wilson and Leigh Cook; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Skeeter Moncrief, of Flovilla, Wanda and Randy Moncrief, of Jackson; 6 grandchildren; Chris, Maegan, Ashley, Heath, Becca, Zoe, 3 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Tyler, Natalie, and 3 on the way, several nieces, nephews, and 3 grand-dogs, Lily, Lucy, and Bandit. She is preceded in death by her mother and daddy, Edna Mae Kelly Haynes and Byron "Peegie" Haynes, and father, Houston Grissett. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 14, 2012 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Brother Pete Page officiating. Interment will be at Pepperton Cemetery.
