Mr. Brent Hood Taylor, age 54, of Jenkinsburg, Georgia, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025.

Brent was born on Monday, December 14, 1970, in Portsmouth, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kyle Alan Taylor; and grandmother, Mabel Peterson. Brent was a member of Towaliga Baptist Church and worked as General Manager for the Clayton County Water Authority. He was a Bagpiper for over 20 years and enjoyed teaching others how to play. Brent was a Mason, twice Past Master of Forest Park Lodge 399. He loved to coach soccer, Volkswagens, and especially loved spending time with his family.

Brent is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Nicole Taylor; daughters, Laurel Averett (Matthew), Erin Peterman (Corbit); mother and father, Karen and James Blue; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Darlene and Tony Thomason; many extended family members.

A funeral service for Mr. Brent Taylor will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Towaliga Baptist Church with Dr. Jay Sanders, Reverend Casey Harpe, and Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Sherrell-Westbury Funeral Home.
