Mr. Carey Cerelle Spraggins, age 64, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024.

Carey was born on Thursday, January 28, 1960, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Cerelle Spraggins and Nita McDaniel Spraggins. He was a member of Jackson Christian Church and had his own business, Spraggins Saw and Mower, repairing small engines. Carey loved Jackson Lake and the Gulf and enjoyed eating fresh oysters. He especially loved people.

Carey is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cheryl Loftin Spraggins; children, Dylan Spraggins, Logan Spraggins, Emily Spraggins, Alex Spraggins; grandchildren, Anastasia Spraggins, Jupiter Spraggins, Brooklynn McClendon, Aurora Spraggins, Gabriella Spraggins; mother, Nita Spraggins; brother, Craig Spraggins; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service for Mr. Carey Spraggins will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Daniel Wright officiating. Friends may visit with the family Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
