Stacy Carole Maddox, of Jackson, GA, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at her residence. She was born on November 4, 1942 in Jackson, GA to the late Stacey Leonard Gray and the late Virginia Jones Gray. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, enjoyed the beach, watching her grandchildren play sports, gardening, fishing, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Carole is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dulane Maddox, of Jackson; daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Byron Waits, of Hillsboro; 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Laurie Maddox, Joey Maddox, all of Jackson; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann O'Neal, of Jackson, Elinor and Jim Jordan, of Tallahasse, FL, Jean Stansel, of Jackson, Audrey Jordan, of Cummings, Glenda and Pat Manry, of Jackson; brother, Stephen Gray, of Jackson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Carole Maddox will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ken Rivers officiatin g. Interment will be at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday evening. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 301 Kelly Dr., Suite 3, Peachtree City, GA 30269 in memory of Carole.
