Mrs. Carolyn Alberson Dexter, age 65, of Jackson, GA, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Sylvan Grove Hospital. She was born March 13, 1946 in Warner Robins, GA. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and a member of Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class. She enjoyed living on the lake, spending time in the outdoors, and spending time with her family. Carolyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Nancy Dexter, of Forsyth; foster daughter, Angel Matthews, of Griffin; mother, Dorothy Coppage Alberson, of Jackson; granddaughter, Hailey Dexter; step-granddaughter, Melissa Reynolds; several neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Alberson; 2 bothers, Robert Leighton Monroe, Jr. and Jimmy Alberson. Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Alberson Dexter will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Lane Sanders and Rev. Mark Powell officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
