Ms. Carrie Nelle Sauley Bishop, 100, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, at Heritage Inn of Barnesville.

Carrie Nelle was born on Tuesday, January 16, 1923, in Milner, Georgia to the late Arthur Marshall Sauley and the late Eva Mae Corley Sauley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin H. Bishop; son, Roger Edwin Bishop; brothers, Arthur W. Sauley, James Wesley Sauley; sisters, Sara Sauley Ridgeway Olgetree, Ava Sauley Bolton, Ruth Park Newsome.

Carrie Nelle is survived by her son Dane Hopkins Bishop (Samantha); granddaughters, Cayla Dane Bishop, Cara Beth Bishop; step grandson Calvin Adams (Holly); sister Anna Jean Clark all of Barnesville, Georgia; as well as several nieces and a nephew.

A private graveside funeral service for Ms. Carrie Nelle Bishop will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Ann Mann officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First United Methodist Church of Barnesville in memory of Carrie Nelle. 375 Thomaston Street, Barnesville, Georgia 30204.
