Catherine "Ma'Kayla" Easom, age 14, of Monticello passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 in a Macon Healthcare Facility. A native of Upson County, Ma'Kayla had lived in Jasper County, and was currently a student in the 8th Grade at Jasper County Middle School. She was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. Ma'Kayla was preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents - Joyce Bennett, Boyce Easom, & Michael Nicholson, and by a very special friend -Kristina Sellers.

Survivors include: Her Parents - Michael & Trallis Nicholson of Monticello and Joseph Martin, II of Griffin ; Brothers and Sisters - Nathan & Angel Nicholson, Mason Thompson, and Brynli & Abrym Martin ; Maternal Grandparents - Pam & Gary Brown of Monticello and Roger Bennett of Monroe County ; Paternal Grandparents - Regina Sampler & Joseph Martin ; Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, & Other Relatives.

Funeral Services for Ma'Kayla Easom will be conducted Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 5 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Reverend Clyde Bennett officiating. Interment will be Private. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon (October 1, 2011) from 3:00pm until the service hour.
