Ms. Catherine (Cathy) Ivey, age 57, of Griffin, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017, at her home. Ms. Ivey was born December 26, 1959, in Valdosta, daughter of Barbara Ivey and the late Carl Vernon Ivey. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Gay Watts. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Lithia Springs. She loved her family and visits to the ocean.

In addition to her mother, survivors also include her sister, Deborah Ivey Everett of Pearland, TX; brother, Clayton V. Ivey (Diane) of Canton; sisters, Joy Peugh (Robert) of Griffin; and JoAnn Pellegrino of Brockport, NY; five nieces and three nephews.

Services will be held at 12:00, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Kenneth Horton officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 at the New Hope Cemetery in New Hope, Georgia. The visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home from 11:00 until 12:00 before the service.
