Mrs. Cathy Denise Butler Buice, age 58, of Barnesville, GA. passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Cathy was born on Friday, September 18, 1959 in Thomaston, GA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Conley and Evelyn Roberts Conley; sister, Merilyn Buchanan. Cathy worked as a bookkeeper at Buice Auto Parts & Mitch's Automotive and Towing and was of the Christian faith. She grew up playing softball and roller skating and was very active with youth sports when her children were young. Cathy coached girls' softball at the Lamar County Recreation Department during her daughter's years there and assisted with her son's baseball teams as much as possible during his years playing there also. Cathy loved watching movies, watching her grandson play baseball, and loved all her grandchildren and the time she spent with them. Her grandchildren called her "MeMe" and she loved being a grandmother more than anything in the world.

Cathy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Mike Buice; children, Mica Buice and Jarad Buice (Katie); grandchildren, Faith, Reese, Liam, and Knox; sisters, Connie Smith and Rachael Cornelius; brother, Steve Scott (Kay); several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service for Mrs. Cathy Denise Butler Buice will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Reverend Chip Garrison officiating. Friends may visit at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until the service hour.
