Mrs. Cathy Buice Parks, 63, of Zebulon, formerly of Barnesville, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin. She was born September 24, 1950 in Griffin, daughter of the late Otis and Clara Brinkley Buice. Mrs. Parks was a member of the Barnesville Revival Center and was the Director of Nutrition for the McIntosh Trail Early Childhood Development Center.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Leroy Parks of Zebulon; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Steve Hollis of Zebulon; son and a daughter-in-law, Roy and Teresa Parks of Thomaston, son, Chris Parks of Zebulon; grandchildren, Lorissa Lane Turbyville and her husband Jason, Jesse Parks, Lorina Allen, Ashli Trice and her husband Joel, Nat Suddeth, Kayla Hollis, Brandon Parks, and Layla Parks; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Esther Fuller and Doris Kilchriss.

Services will be at 3:00 Sunday at the Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Rev. Anthony Sharpe officiating. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in Upson County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
