Obituary

Charles "Brent" Lowe, age 50, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at his residence, leaving behind a legacy of service, leadership, and devotion to those he cherished most. Throughout his life, Brent was known as a dedicated educator, respected leader, loving husband, devoted father, loyal friend, and passionate outdoorsman.

Brent devoted his professional life to serving students, families, and educators across Georgia. As Superintendent of the Butts County School System, he led with vision, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to ensure that every child had the opportunity to succeed. Prior to his service in Butts County, Brent served as Superintendent of the Crawford County School System and as an assistant superintendent, teacher, and coach in the Pulaski County School System. Throughout his career, he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues, students, and communities through his servant leadership, strong work ethic, and genuine care for others.

While Brent's professional accomplishments were many, his greatest source of pride and joy was his family. Above all else, he was a devoted husband who cherished the love and partnership he shared with his wife, Brandi Foskey Lowe, for almost 21 years. Their marriage was built on faith, mutual respect, unwavering commitment, and a deep love for one another, providing a strong foundation for their family and serving as a model of devotion for all who knew them.

As a father, Brent was a constant source of strength, encouragement, and guidance to his beloved triplets, Charles Ander "Cal" Lowe, Clinton Thomas Lowe, and Maggie Abigail Lowe. He led by example, teaching his children the values of integrity, perseverance, kindness, humility, and service to others. He celebrated their successes, supported them through challenges, and never missed an opportunity to remind them how deeply they were loved. The lessons he taught and the memories he created will remain a lasting gift to those he loved most.

Brent also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing. Some of his happiest moments were spent in the woods, in the fields, or on annual fishing trips, enjoying the fellowship of family and his many friends. He treasured the traditions, stories, and friendships that accompanied each hunting and fishing season and found great joy in sharing those experiences with others. Whether in a deer stand before daylight, on the water with friends, or gathered around sharing stories after a successful day outdoors, Brent found peace, purpose, and happiness in God's creation.

In addition to his wife and children, Brent is survived by his parents, Ronnie and Teresa Lowe; his sister, Rhonda (Russell) Gulley; his brother, Ben Lowe; his sister-in-law, Sandi (Keith) Waddell all of Thomaston, Georgia; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Teddy and Gail Holton; his brother-in-law, Scott (Crissy) Richardson; his sister-in-law, Rena Hackle all of Soperton, Georgia; his nephews, Logan (Bri) Gulley, Brooks Gulley, Cason Waddell, Jackson Richardson, Wyatt Lowe and; his nieces, Ashley (Bailey) Bryson, Jadyn Richardson, Abbi Lowe, Calleigh Waddell; and numerous other extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his nephew, Jon Barron Gulley; his maternal grandparents, Magnus and Lucille Perdue; and his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Lillian Lowe. Though his leadership touched countless lives through education, the impact he made within his own family will forever remain his most meaningful accomplishment. Brent's legacy lives on in the lives he shaped, the students he inspired, the communities he strengthened, the family he loved, and the outdoor traditions he cherished.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, colleagues, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held at the Butts County Performing Arts Center, on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 5:00-8:00. Services will be held at the Butts County Performing Arts Center on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00.
