Charles David Martin, of Jenkinsburg, GA, died Friday, June 10, 2011. He was born March 8, 1943 in Douglas County, GA. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was a retired truck driver from Teamsters and currently worked for Butts County School System. He was preceded in death by his parents, William D. Martin and Geneva Sosebee Martin; sister, Alta Mae Martin; and infant son, Kenneth D. Martin. Mr. Charles Martin is survived by his wife, LaNae Whitaker Martin; children, Carla Martin, Dwayne Martin (Cindy), Stephen Martin (Tonya), Elayne Yeager (Jerry), Jason Martin (Stephanie), Cassie Causey (Chris); stepsons, Josh Thompson (Tassie), Jeremy Thompson; brother, Junior Martin (Margaret); sisters, Martha Croy (James), Pauline Thrasher (Clifford) Roberta Satterfield; brother-in-law, Frank Satterfield, Sybil Bell (David); 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Sherrell Funeral Home in Jackson Sunday, June 12, 2011 from 4:30 - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 13, 2011 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Sherrell Funeral Home with Rev. Dwayne Martin and Rev. John Sherrell officiating.
