Mr. Charles Massey Roberts, Sr., age 89, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Charles was born on Sunday, June 28, 1936, in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Ellis H. Roberts and the late Lilic Olivia Massey Roberts, along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Danny Roberts; sister, Gloria Ann Dawson. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a former volunteer fireman. Spoiling and loving his grandchildren were always his favorite thing to do. He enjoyed going camping, dancing and antique cars. He was a prankster to anyone that knew him, always picking on someone. He was loved dearly and will be missed.

Charles is survived by his wife of 71 years, Doris Roberts; children, Karon Patrick, Chirs Roberts, Chuck Roberts (Laura); grandchildren, Kimberly LeGrone, Christy LeGrone, Loree Crowe, Craig Crowe, Andrew Smith, Chase Roberts (Tanya), Kyle Nunnelley (Allie); 8 great-grandchildren; several cousins, and extended family members.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Charles Massey Roberts, Sr. will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham and Mr. Don Bell officiating. Friends may visit the family from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
