Mr. Charles Augustus Wheeler, Jr., age 67, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Charles was born on Thursday, November 13, 1958, in Barnesville, Georgia, to the late Charles Augustus Wheeler, Sr. and the late Clara Celena Moore Wheeler.

Charles loved watching his wife plant flowers, and spending time with his blue tick beagle Gracie. He was very passionate about his faith and loved the Lord. He always enjoyed feeding the birds and hummingbirds. A special “Thank You” to Tara, Kaylee and Wade, for being the best caregivers to Charles.

Charles is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna Wheeler; sister, Ann Young (Ernest); special niece, Tara Threadgill; nieces, Angie Clark, Tammy Preston; nephew, Al Threadgill; in-laws, Karen Horne (Mitch); Kaylee “baby girl” Haddock (Jake); his best friend, who was like a brother, Wade Rooks; and several extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for anyone to make a one-time donation to Rock Springs Clinic in memory of Charles Wheeler.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Charles Augustus Wheeler, Jr. will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. at Rock Springs Church, with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service.
