SIMS

Mr. Charlie Hull Sims, Sr., age 90, of Jackson, GA, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at his residence. He was born on May 17, 1923 in Barrow County, GA to the late Ralph Walton Sims and the late Ruby Harrison Sims. He is preceded in death by a son, Charlie Sims, Jr. Mr. Sims was a member of Jackson United Methodist Church, and he was a Mason. He retired from Capital City Supply Company and served in the United States Army Signal Corps during World War II.

Mr. Sims is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy Sims; son and daughter-in-law, James W. and Lisa Sims; grandchildren, Jamie and Ashley Sims, Mark and Samantha Sims, Lauren Sims and Brett Cuevas, and Taylor Sims.

Funeral services for Mr. Charlie Sims, Sr. will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jamie Sims and Reverend Winford Dixon officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem First Methodist Church Cemetery in Bethlehem, GA at 4:30 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday evening.
