Mrs. Cheryl Ann “C.A.” Loftin Spraggins, age 61, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Cheryl was born on Monday, October 5, 1964, in East Point, Georgia to the late Sherrill James and Mary Katherine “Kaye” Loftin. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carey Spraggins; and brother, John Loftin. Cheryl loved her husband of 35 years, and they fought hard to make sure their children were taken care of. She received her bachelor’s degree from Clayton State College and worked as a CPA for many years. Cheryl retired from the State of Georgia as a State Revenue Agent. She worked after retirement for Appalachian Mountain Services teaching classes for the Georgia Association of Tax Officials and the Georgia Municipal Association. Cheryl took great pride in all of her work. She loved going to Panama City Beach and scrapbooking. Most of all, she loved her family and will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and foster mother.

Cheryl is survived by her children, Dylan Spraggins, Logan Spraggins, Emily Spraggins, and Alex Spraggins; grandchildren, Jupiter Spraggins, Brooklynn McClendon, Aurora Spraggins, Gabriella Spraggins; siblings, Jeff and Tina Loftin, Mary Dowdy, James and Beoncia Loftin; mother-in-law, Nita Spraggins; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

A funeral service for Mrs. Cheryl Spraggins will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Daniel Wright officiating. Friends may visit the family on Thursday evening, May 28, 2026, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
