Mr. Clay Augustus Lane, Jr., age 70, of Barnesville passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Barnesville, he was the son of the late Mr. Clay Augustus Lane, Sr. and the late Mrs. Annie Kate Newton Lane, and was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Ann Lane Fuss. Mr. Lane Retired from the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include: 1 Son - Jimmy (& Christie) Lane of The Rock ; 1 Brother - Malcolm E. Lane (& Lynda) of Byron ; 2 Sisters - Nancy L. (& Ken) White of Macon & Evelyn L. (& Robert) Bates of Madison ; 3 Grandchildren - Lauren Lane, Will Lane, & Savannah Lane, all of The Rock.

Funeral Services for Mr. Clay Augustus Lane, Jr. will be conducted Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 1 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 6pm until 8pm.
