Ms. Cleo Wright Smith, age, 94 of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Cleo was born on Tuesday, May 17, 1932, in Thomaston, Georgia to the late James Truman Wright and the late Clara Nicholson Wright. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Chandler Smith, siblings, Charles Wright, Frank Wright, Bentley Wright, Larry Wright, Bobby Wright, Clifford Wright, Frances Earle and Rachael Rhodes.

Cleo will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and best friend. She loved and cared for her family very much. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church, she enjoyed listening to gospel music, and going shopping, especially at the Goodwill.

Cleo is survived by her children, Roger Smith (Grace), Susan Smith, Ricky Smith; grandchildren, Melissa Levy, Shylah Hawkins, Tarah Ziegler, Brian Miller, Brooke Miller, Brandy Miller, Richard Smith, II, Alexis Smith; 21 great- grandchildren; 3 great-great-great grandchildren; brother, Billy Wright, several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Funeral Service for Ms. Cleo Wright Smith will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home, with Pastor James King officiating. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 12:00P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens.
