Mr. Colin Purdie Johnson, age 83, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025.

Colin was born Tuesday, March 3, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Walter Vernon Johnson and Elsie Glueck Johnson. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Hurst Johnson; stepsons, Danny Glenn Hamlin, Millard Kelvin Hamlin; and stepdaughter, Janet Hamlin Smith. Colin was a loving husband and stepfather. He worked on boat motors for many years and was an avid fisherman, around town he was known as the boat man. Colin also proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Colin is survived by his children, Karen and Colin; nieces, JoAnn Cavanaugh, Sandy Read; and other extended family members.

A celebration of life for Mr. Colin Johnson will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Fellowship Presbyterian Church.
