Mr. Daniel Eugene "Dan" Nicholson, Jr., age 61, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Dan was born on Wednesday, April 25, 1962, in Barnesville to the late Daniel Eugene Nicholson, Sr. and the late Virginia Berry Nicholson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kerstin Nicholson; his sister, Belinda Byrd and brother, Donald Nicholson; as well as his nephew, Rusty McCormick, Jr.

Dan was an avid outdoorsman, he often enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as driving his truck around. He loved having family cookouts and was known to them as a prankster and one who loved to "cut up".

Dan is survived by his children and their spouses, Daniel Eugene Nicholson (Kaylee), Michael Gaines Nicholson (Amber), Brandon Lee Nicholson (Kasey); grandchildren, Lucas Nicholson, Caroline Nicholson, Deziree Campbell, Trinity Welch, Michael Gaines Nicholson, Jr., Destiny Welch, Trevor McWhorter, Shelby Nicholson, Stormy Nicholson, Jasper Nicholson; sister, Teresa McCormick; nieces and nephews, Tracy Lane, Mike Lane, Austin McCormick, Jr., Jenny Rowell (Brant), Ashley Newberry (Benjamin), Stephen Byrd (Sherri), Bryan Nicholson; as well as his beloved companion, Ladybug.

A Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Dan Nicholson, Jr. will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in Lamar Memory Gardens with Pastor Rex Kessler officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
