Mr. Danny (Gooberhead) Moss, 59, of The Rock passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at his home. He was born July 5, 1954, son of Fulton Leon and Minnie Lina Moore Moss. Mr. Moss was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in The Rock and was formerly employed as a Tree Surgeon for N. G. Gilbert. He loved people, cooking, hunting, camping, playing the guitar and pulling pranks for a laugh.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife Janet Webb Moss of The Rock; son, Danny Earl Moss, Jr. of Barnesville, daughter and son-in-law, Christin Moss and Josh Holt of Pike County; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda Deems and Thomas Youngblood of The Rock; son, Walt Deems of The Rock and daughter, Emily LeaAnn Moss of The Rock; grandchildren, Dailon Scott, Kierston Scott, Caden Scott, Terry Youngblood, Tyler Youngblood, Tucker Youngblood, Trenten Deems, Chevy Scott, and Levi Gordy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Dennis Whitehead, Peggy and Johnny Bolten, and Donna Faye Moss; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 Tuesday at Mount Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Ken English and Rev. Herbert Torbert and Mr. Dave Torbert officiating. Interment will be at the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at his home, and will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
