Mr. David Hartford Bass, age 40, of Griffin, GA, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital. He was born on Monday, November 29, 1976 in Thomaston, GA to the late Jimmy Franklin Bass and the late Betty Ann McLean Bass. David loved country music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Bass and Christopher Bass.

David is survived by his brother, Glenn Bass; uncle and aunts, Tom and Peggy Bostwick and Melinda Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for David Bass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Aaron Watson officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Pike County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening.
