Mr. Davis Burrell, 73, of Atlanta, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at his home.

Davis was born November 2, 1941 in Cornelia. He graduated from Emory University with a degree in History and received his Master in Education from Georgia State University. Davis' lifelong career was spent in the Dekalb County school system where he held numerous positions in both the classroom and administration. He made a difference in the lives of many students and friends.

Survivors include his sister, Patricia Hill (Harry) of Florence, SC; his brother, Doug Burrell (Nancy) of Cornelia, GA; his partner of 52 years, William Jackson of Atlanta; and a host of friends and extended family members.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery on Adams Street in Barnesville, GA.
