Mr. Delma DeWit Compton, age 85, of Barnesville passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2012 in a Griffin Healthcare facility. Mr. Compton was born in Wilcox County, GA to the late Mr. Samuel Russell Compton and the late Mrs. Fannie Griffin Compton. He was retired from the William Carter Company, a Veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Compton was preceded in death by two Grandchildren.

Survivors include his Son – Delma William-Wilkerson Compton (& Nora L.) of Griffin ; 4 Sisters – Ruby Jackson of Forsyth ; Allie Boggs of Barnesville ; Thelma Sauley of Barnesville ; Dorothy Hambrick of Barnesville ; 9 Grandchildren ; & Former Wife – Betty Compton.

Funeral Services for Mr. Delma Compton will be conducted on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 11 O' Clock from the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pine Mountain Church of the Nazarene Cemetery.
