Dennis Solomon Mascarenas, age 87, of Covington, Georgia, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Dennis was born on Saturday, October 1, 1938, in Manzanola, Colorado to the late Solomon and Margaret Mascarenas. Dennis worked as a welder in his younger days and was an all-around handy man. He built buildings, cornhole boards, benches, and loved tinkering with things. Dennis was very witty and had a great sense of humor, right up to the very end. He was a family man and loved them all dearly. He always said his kids were the best thing that happened to him. Dennis will be deeply missed.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 69 years, Carolyn Mascarenas; children and spouses, Luann Kaye Mascarenas, Lisa Faye Doster (Greg), Dennis Lynn Mascarenas (Traci), Lon Anthony Mascarenas (Robin); 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Cecilia Mascarenas; and many extended family members. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Solomon Mascarenas; mother, Margaret Mascarenas; and 3 brothers, Abraham (Abe), Theodore (Ted), and Thomas (Tom).

There will be no formal service at this time.
