Ms. Dolores Lee Sumner, age 83, of Locust Grove, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Dolores was born Wednesday, November 27, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Mr. Harold Emory Lee and the late Doris McCullough Lee. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Lee. She was of Methodist faith and loved music and dancing. Dolores enjoyed working outdoors with her rose bushes and gardenias and going to the beach, even though she couldn't swim. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Dolores is survived by her daughter, Angel Denise Thomason; grandchildren, Ashley and Wayne Parker, Brad Thomason and Amy; great-grandchildren, MaKayla, MaKiyah, Maysen, Rylee, Preslee, Cooper, Noah, Finleigh; sister-in-law, Sandy Lee; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for Ms. Dolores Sumner will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park, Georgia at 1:00 P.M. Friends may visit the family on Friday evening (January 5, 2024) from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
