Mr. Donald Cary Melton, age 72, of Jackson, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at his residence.

Cary was born on Thursday, March 8, 1954, son of Gail Washington Melton and the late Donald Roy Melton. He grew up in Griffin, Georgia and prior to retirement, was employed as the public works manager for the City of Stockbridge. He was an avid fisherman and woodworker, and a faithful member of New Life Assembly. Earlier he attended ALC he served as a media technician. Cary’s death has left a large impact on his family and friends and he will be missed.

Cary is survived by his loving wife, Delorice Prince Melton; mother, Gail Melton; daughters, Tina Brownlee, Tracy Mize; grandchildren, Kelsey DeFronzo, Jacob Moody, Katelyn Brownlee, and Ryan Mize; three sisters, Roxanne Smith, Jan Murtie, and Sandi Whittenburg; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date at the New Life Assembly in Griffin.
