Mrs. Donna Jean Sandefur Shockley, age 72, of Jonesboro, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Piedmont Henry Hospital.

Mrs. Shockley was born on Thursday, May 19, 1949, to the late Harold Sandefur and Martha Coventry. Donna enjoyed being at home; she was known as a homebody. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Sandefur; brother, Pat Sandefur, and brother-in-law, Don Buchanan.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Samuel Edward Shockley. Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Brian & Shannon Shockley; mother, Martha Williams; 3 sisters, Carolyn Selph & husband Alan, Susie Sandefur, Shirley Buchanan; brothers, Mike Sandefur, David Sandefur & wife Wendy; sister-in-law, Gloria Sandefur. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Donna Jean Sandefur Shockley will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Reverend Garth Forster officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Greenwood Cemetery.
