Ms. Donya Joette Mitchell-Watson, age 60, of Jackson, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

Donya was born on Monday, August 28, 1961, in Fall River, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Cecil and Estelle M. Mitchell and a sister, Loanna Marie Mitchell. Donya was a member of Fellowship Presbyterian Church. Donya wanted to follow in her dad's footsteps. In 1992, Donya started her career with the Butts County Sheriff's Office, where she dedicated over 10 years to serving and protecting the citizens and the community. She loved listening to music, and enjoyed spending time with her dog, Ollie.

Donya is survived by her children, Corey Howell, Joshua Howell, Seth Justus; grandchildren, Cole, Jordan, Emily, Haley, Zoey; siblings, Joey Mitchell, Nathan Mitchell, and Courtney Mitchell.

A funeral service for Ms. Donya Mitchell-Watson will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Fellowship Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Fellowship Presbyterian Church, 441 Kinard Mill Road, Jackson, Georgia 30233.
