Mrs. Doris Louise Hamby Conkle, age 73, of Milner, passed away Friday, January 1, 2016 in a Spalding County Healthcare facility. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Leonard Hamby and the late Mrs. Pauline Moreland Hamby. Mrs. Conkle was also preceded in death by her 2 sons, Kerry and Perry Conkle. She was retired from Aldora Mills after 23 years and was a member of the First Assembly of God.

Survivors include: Her husband- Ben Conkle of Milner ; 1 son- Terry David Conkle (& Mary Ann) of Hampton, GA; 2 granddaughters- Hope Lloyd (& Andy) of Jenkingsburg, GA and Taylor Conkle of Locust Grove, GA; 4 grandsons- Benji Conkle (& Erica) of Jenkingsburg, GA, Tony Conkle (& Paisley), Dylan Conkle (& Kristin), and Hunter Conkle of Hampton, GA; 2 great granddaughters- Desirae and Cheyenne Conkle; 4 great grandsons- Braydon Reagan of Covington, GA, Adrian Conkle of Barnesville, Ezra, and Reese; 2 sisters- Martha Ann Hoffman (& Bob) of Wapilla, IL, and Toni Awtry of Jackson, GA; 2 brothers- Larry Hamby (& Faye) of Barnesville, and Pete Hamby (& Kathy) of Prescott Valley, AZ; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Doris Conkle will be conducted Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 2 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Reverend Mic Savage officiating. Interment will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery in Thomaston, GA. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 6pm until 8pm.
