Mrs. Dorothy Lee Knight Garrett, age 77, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 in a Macon Healthcare Facility. A native of Hawkinsville, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Jacob James Knight and the late Mrs. Maude Lastinger Knight, and was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Robert Thomas Garrett, Jr., and by her sister, Mrs. Marie Teal. Mrs. Garrett retired as a Seamstress from the William Carter Company, and was a Homemaker. She loved life, and remained active until her recent illness. Her family was her greatest love. Mrs. Garrett was the happiest when she was surrounded by her daughter, granddaughter, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include: Her Daughter - Lynda (& Dewayne) Frost of Barnesville ; Her Granddaughter - Ashley (& Dr. Kevin) Cormier of Shreveport, LA ; 2 Great Grandchildren - Landon Sanders-Cormier and Saylor Sanders Cormier, both of Shreveport, LA ; and a number of nieces also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Dorothy Garrett will be conducted Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 2 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 1:00pm until the service hour.
