Mrs. Dorothy Faye Wright Gortney, age 67, formerly of Daviston, Alabama passed away Monday, February 14, 2011 at her residence. Born in Alexander City, Alabama to the late Mr. Fletcher Herbert Wright and the late Mrs. Bernice Thrower Wright, Mrs. Gortney had lived in Daviston for the last 42 years, until recently moving to Barnesville.

Survivors include: Her Daughter - Angie Bennett of Barnesville ; 2 Sons - Danny Joe Gortney and Ronald Wayne Gortney, both of Daviston, AL ; 4 Grandchildren - Steven Brian Bennet (& Meredith) of Barnesville ; Joshua Wayne Bennett of Barnesville ; Jessica Anne Bennett of Barnesville ; & Kennison Ainslee Bennett of Barnesville ; 1 Great Grandchild - Mary Clara Anne Bennett of Barnesville ; 1 Sister - Jean Wright of East Point ; 2 Brothers - Jerry Wright and Eugene Hall ; & Numerous Nieces, Nephews, & Other Relatives.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Dorothy Faye Gortney will be conducted from the Graveside on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 11 O'Clock in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 5pm until 7pm.
