Mr. Douglas Roy "Doug" Sanders, age 85, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at his home.

Doug was born on Saturday, October 21, 1939, in Massachusetts to the late Ralph Sanders. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Little Charles and first wife/mother of his children, Joan Sanders. Doug was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and going to church. He enjoyed doing yardwork and going fishing. He served his country in the United States Army.

Doug is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Delores Sanders; children and their spouses, Sandy Marie Long (Chris), Charles Sanders (April); grandchildren, Brittney Milam (Josh), Cameron Sanders; stepchildren, Steven Sims (and family), Rhonda Collins (and family).

A Funeral Service for Mr. Doug Sanders will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Barnesville Church of Christ with Pastor Bryan Romine and Pastor Bill Bonner officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Lamar Memory Gardens.
