Mr. Earl Dawson, age 70, of Barnesville passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 in a Spalding County Healthcare Facility. A native of Upson County, Mr. Dawson was the son of the late Mr. Bernard Felton Dawson and the late Mrs. Muriel Florrie Berry Dawson, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Wayne Corley Dawson. Mr. Dawson had worked for John Deere, Jordan Lumber Company, & The William Carter Company. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church.

Survivors include: His Son – Jeff Dawson ; His Daughter – Lisa (& Todd) Harmon ; Five Grandchildren – Ashton (&Bobby) Duncan, Jordan Harmon, Marlena Harmon, Ross Dawson, & Christopher Salter ; 1 Great Grandchild – Kathryn Duncan ; 2 Brothers – Bernard Dawson & Ricky Dawson ; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral Services for Mr. Earl Dawson will be conducted Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 3 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
