Mr. Edgar L. (Ed) Bowling, age 69, of Barnesville, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016, at his home. Edgar was born December 24, 1945 in Cabin Creek, WV, son of the late William and Mildred Smith Bowling. He retired from Aeronca and was always a hard worker providing for his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Powers Bowling.

Survivors include his daughter, Laura Hicks of Summerville, OH; son, Edgar Bowling, Jr. of LaGrange, GA; daughters, Christa Griffin of Barnesville and Tiffany Bowling of Franklin, GA; son, Jonathan Bowling of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and brother, Julius Bowling of Johnson County, KY.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday at the Community Chapel Church in Pine Mountain Valley with Pastor Rick Lipp officiating.
