Edith “Edie” Flora Pabon Lusk, age 92, of Jackson Lake, Georgia, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026.
Edie was born on Saturday, January 27, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Antonio Pabon Acosta and Edith Evelyn Smith Pabon. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Lusk; and brother, Anthony Pabon. Edie was very involved in her community at Turtle Cove, previously working as an executive secretary and club house manager. She also worked as a substitute teacher at Jackson High School. Edie was an avid Georgia Tech fan and loved to dance and travel, visiting places around the world. Most of all, she loved her family.
Edie is survived by her children, Cindy Cook and fiancé, Robert Rairie, Bobby Lusk and the late Dayle Lusk, Lisa Lusk; grandchildren, Alicia and Andy Washington, Erica Cook and Benji Conkle, Amy and Zach Burden, Brett and Candis Lusk, Troy and Klaudia Lusk, Chad Lusk; great-grandchildren, Brandt Washington, Reece Conkle, Sawyer Conkle, Walker Conkle, Hudson Burden, Parker Burden, Moxie Lusk, Waylynn Lusk; boyfriend, Gary Black; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will take place and be announced at a later date.
