Edward Carter “Ted” Morgan, Jr., 88, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Ted was born on Saturday, February 26, 1938, in St. Augustine, Florida to the late Edward Carter Morgan Sr and the late Katherine Zant Morgan. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Ed Morgan and Don Morgan. He served proudly in the United States Army, where he also boxed. Ted later retired as an electrician with IBEW Local 613. He is a proud member of the Georgia Amateur Hall of Fame. Ted coached 4-time world champion Evander Holyfield and coached other national champions and Olympic medalists. Boxing was everything to Ted.

Ted is survived by his children and spouses, Edward and Luann Morgan, Leigh Blakey, Kelly and Tammie Morgan; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and extended family members.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
