Mr. Eirvin Douglas "Hut" Owens, age 90, of Milner passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 in a Sumter County Healthcare Facility. A native of Putnam County, he was preceded in death by his Mother, Mrs. Nellie Owens McBroom, and was also preceded in death by his Daughter, Vicki Owens Bohnenstiehl, and by a Granddaughter, Lori Nicole Ballard. Mr. Owens had been a Residential and Commercial Painter. He was a WWII Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army as a member of "The Barnesville Blues."

Survivors include: His Wife - Margaret Cox Owens of Milner ; His Son - Reggie (& Dianne) Owens of Albany ; 2 Grandsons - Brad Ballard, and Ryan (& Amy) Ballard, and 2 Great Grandchildren - Troy and Katie.

Funeral Services for Mr. Eirvin "Hut" Owens will be conducted Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Walker officiating. Interment will be Private. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 10:00am until the service hour.

The family has requested, that in lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions be made to the Youth Ministry at First Feewill Baptist Church, 420 North Westover Blvd., Albany, GA 31707, or to the Donor's Favorite Charity.
